The Wigwam Flats Ecosystem Enhancement Project (WFEEP) focuses on restoring vital habitat for over 200 bighorn sheep and other native wildlife by replicating historical low-severity fire patterns. In 2025, the project successfully completed 85 hectares of forest thinning and 83 hectares of invasive species treatment to improve forage and sightlines. These efforts ensure the long-term ecological health and biodiversity of this culturally significant and wild landscape.
